-10 degrees this morning at 7 am, when I walked into my studio. Too cold to paint anything outdoors, even in the car, I thought. Time to follow up on an idea that has been percolating in the back of my mind: working in a series, making a few minor changes on a set up and/or design of one idea. Here is the result- the second version of this colorful still life, with a small change in the viewpoint and a swapping the apple for a tiny bowl. And, a square shape rather than a rectangle. I am happy with this result, as I was with the first. It's surprising how small changes bring a very different feel to the painting.
